IC INFO;

CHARACTER NAME: Elle Mel Marta
CANON & HISTORY: Tales of Xillia 2 | Aselia Wiki
AGE: 8
CANON POINT: End of Chapter 10
PERSONALITY:
Elle is an eight-year-old girl on a mission. That is to say, she acts her age and has her eyes on the prize so to speak. Which, in this case, is getting to the Land of Canaan to have her wish granted.

To elaborate on the former, she is the type to speak her mind and is quick to say it. If she likes or is impressed by something (usually in comparison to something her Daddy would do), she says it. If she dislikes something (especially tomatoes), she says it. If she thinks someone cannot be trusted easily (i.e. her initial impressions of Alvin), then she'll go ahead and say that too. Perhaps such behavior might come off as rude to others, but at Elle's age, it isn't rudeness as much as it is a typical child's honesty. While she might act bratty a good bit of the time, Elle isn't completely insensitive by any means. She has a good grasp of what limits are, she knows what she can do and what she cannot do and won't do things such as get in the middle of fierce fights given her zero combat capability. However, she does like to project that she's mature or an adult, which means she'll try to deny weakness if she can, as illustrated by how she initially denies her fear of lightning or well, being scared of ghosts or evil spirits. Also, given her age, big words and concepts have a good chance of confusing her, so it's not unheard for her to ask people to explain it to her in simpler terms.

As an eight-year-old, it's worth mentioning that Elle is still in that stage where she tends to fluctuate in terms of attitude. So there will be times she'll be hot, and she'll be cold, but one thing of note is that at the end of the day, Elle is a good kid. She may act annoying or bratty as an eight-year-old, but her heart's in the right place, considering how she's the type to push Ludger into helping other people (even if she can't herself), and how at the end of the day, it can be seen that she will readily sacrifice herself if it's to protect someone she loves (as illustrated in towards the end of TOX2, especially the Ludger Ending of the game).

To some extent, her behavior can be attributed to how she was raised in what is essentially a sheltered household, as it was heavily implied in canon that she didn't know much about the world outside her home by Lake Epsilla and/or had any interactions beyond her father, pet cats, and now-deceased mother prior to the events of TOX2. Basically, whatever she knows of the world then is based on whatever her father has imparted to her or what she has read from books.

Which brings us to an elaboration on the latter point of this personality section's first sentence. At the start of the game, she makes it quite clear that her goal is to reach the Land of Canaan to have her wish to save her father granted, which she throws reminders of every now and then. It's what causes her to meet the rest of the party and to be tied to them (though admittedly a large part of it would be the debt Ludger incurred on her behalf). This plot-relevant mission is what gives her the chance to experience various things, up until and including the reveal about her father's true plans regarding Canaan, the other Elle, and Elle's status as a resident of another fractured dimension.

It is after this series of reveals that she develops a little of a complex about being from a fractured dimension, which results into some degree of recklessness on her end (i.e. going with Bisley in an effort to save the world), as with an implied disregard for her life because she's a "fake", as she puts it. But given the true ending, this is implied not to last, for she learns through Ludger's sacrifice that it doesn't matter whether she's from a fractured dimension or not. Elle is Elle, and is the one Ludger sacrificed himself for and chose above himself and all other infinite Elle possibilities.

Also worth mentioning is while her father isn't exactly in the running for Best Dad of the Year, she definitely loves him and adores him. Early in the game, she has a penchant for bragging about him, and while that tendency more or less disappears after her world is literally destroyed, it's one notable quirk of hers early on, especially from the canon point I'm taking her from.

With all that said, as far as things go, Elle is what you'd get if you stuck an eight-year-old in the middle of a fantasy-type setting. As a note, she will be coming in from a canon point before everything goes to hell for her, so her bratty nature will be a little more pronounced compared to her more serious demeanor after Fractured Milla and Victor die one after the other.

POWERS:

As the Key of Kresnik, she has the power to travel freely through dimensions and take objects/people from a fractured dimension (an alternate world) to the prime dimension (the "real" world). Other than that, she's pretty much a regular eight-year-old, though she's shown to be capable of carrying a large and overweight cat without much trouble despite her size.

OTHER:

Would it be OK for Elle to arrive with Rollo? Logic at work here would be her hugging the cat while she's sleeping, presumably while they're in some inn. But if not, then that's fine too!

GAME INFO;

MAGIC ABILITY: Ability to transform in a magical girl that has the same abilities as Ludger. Her appearance will be similar to that of her 18-year-old self, and she'll have to train herself in usage of any of those abilities.

Let me know if this has to be nerfed in some manner! Like setting a time period as to how long she can stay transformed, or setting a timeframe as to when she could actually transform. If the mods prefer that she retain her eight-year-old appearance during this transformation, I am fine with that as well!
PRICE: The pocket watch she has on hand.
ACCLIMATION: 3. In terms of adjusting to new people and places, it would be easy for her to adapt as that is quite similar to her circumstances in canon. However, she doesn't actually have much survival skills to boast of and would be dependent on anyone older who wants to take on the mantle of watching over her. Plus, she still has a mission to complete and won't be thrilled about having to put that on hold.
